Surface Treatment
QUKEN can provide different surface treatments for stainless steel, such as 8k mirror finish, brushed (anti-fingerprint), sandblasting, electrolytic pickling, colored, etc.
8K Mirror Finish
8k mirror finish is the stainless steel surface is polished and processed to form stainless steel 8k plate (mirror plate). There are 3 polishing methods for mirror finish: electrolytic polishing, chemical polishing and mechanical polishing. The polished treated plate is corrosion resistant and the mirror plate is a substrate for processing subsequent colored or etched plates.
Sandblasting
Sandblasting is accomplished by impacting the stainless steel surface with a high-speed blast medium (commonly steel shot or quartz sand) to remove stains, fatigue damage, or oxides. This treatment improves the roughness of the stainless steel surface, increasing its corrosion resistance and aesthetics.
Brushed
After processing the mechanical friction of stainless steel surface, the surface state is straight (also called scrub) with a straight line, including drawing, and ripples. It shows a good decorative effect, mainly used in elevators, home appliances and other decorative panels.
Electrolytic pickling
Electrolytic acid pickling is to remove the oxidized skin on the surface of stainless steel by acid pickling technology, and the oxidized skin is forced to dissolve under the action of electric current. Electrolytic acid has the advantages of fast processing speed, high efficiency and good surface pickling quality.
Colored
Stainless steel coloring not only gives stainless steel products a variety of colors, but also improves the wear resistance and abrasion resistance of the product. Stainless steel coloring methods are as follows: ion deposition of oxides, high temperature oxidation method and chemical oxidation method.
